How Does It Work?

Alprostadil relaxes the smooth muscle tissue inside the penis. This widens the blood vessels and allows blood to flow in, producing an erection. The effect begins within 5–20 minutes of injection and typically lasts up to an hour.

What to Expect

Most men see results within 5 to 20 minutes of injecting. The erection usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. The response is reliable and doesn't depend on sexual stimulation alone.

Possible Side Effects

• Pain or mild discomfort at the injection site
• Prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism — seek medical help immediately)
• Bruising, swelling, or firmness along the shaft over time with repeated use

Cycle & Dosage Notes

Caverject is used on an as-needed basis, not on a daily schedule. It should not be used more than once in a 24-hour period or more than three times per week. There is no PCT required as this is not a hormonal compound.
